New Jersey troops are prepping for deployment to Iraq by training in a similar environment stateside.
Members of the New Jersey National Guard are performing drills in the New Mexico desert. The troops are staying at Camp MacGregor for their final preparations before Iraq.
Once training is finished, the soldiers will head to Kuwait for two weeks. They will be stationed in Iraq until June 2009 after the stay in Kuwait.
