Delays on NJ Transit trains have eased after Amtrak power problems stalled commuters Monday amid dangerously hot temperatures.
The issues caused two trains to get stuck in the Hudson River tunnels for about 20 minutes during the evening commute, a NJ Transit spokesperson said.
The issues caused around one-hour delays into and out of New York City. PATH trains and Port Authority buses were cross-honoring NJ Transit passes. Trains returned to normal schedules at around 9 p.m. Monday.
Riders are urged to check with NJ Transit before headed to the station.
