One of New Jersey’s most popular weather prognosticators, Milltown Mel, has passed away which has led to the cancellation of this year's Milltown Groundhog Day ceremonies.
Those who are usually gearing up for the always fun festivities in the Milltown VFW parking lot, are having to take the year off after Mel’s sudden passing.
Recently Mel’s Facebook page made an announcement
The group tried to get a stand in but could not find one in time for tomorrow’s festivities so unfortunately, this always fun event has been canceled.
Mel's Facebook group recommends checking out what his cousins in New Jersey will have to say, or to keep an eye on Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania tomorrow.
