New Jersey homeowners struggling to make their mortgage payments are getting some help from the state.State officials have announced a $430 million effort to help prevent foreclosures in the Garden State. The help will be through refinancing being made available by six financial institutions and government agencies. The plan also calls for a task force to examine possible solutions to the mortgage crisis. Officials say as many as 60,000 residents in New Jersey could be helped by the plan.
