Officials at the Jersey Shore issued swim advisories at several beaches Wednesday due to water samples that contained contaminations that were above the normal standard.
The affected beaches include Imperial House Beach and Elberon Beach in Long Branch; Windward Beach in Brick Township; both West and East beaches in Pine Beach Borough; Hancock Beach in Seaside Heights; Fifth Avenue Bay Front Beach in Seaside Park; and 25th Street Bay Front Beach in Barnegat Light.
The beaches remained open, but officials advised against swimming in the ocean.
