Gas prices keep rising and New Jersey motorists are thinking twice before getting behind the wheel.
The price of gas in New Jersey has risen 74 cents since January. Even though New Jersey gas prices are the second lowest in the country, most drivers still find the $2.89 a gallon price tag prohibitive.
"I cut back on some of the things that I do," says Debbie Norz of Hillsboro. "I make lunch instead of buy lunch."
AAA predicts 900,000 New Jersey residents will hit the roads Memorial Day weekend, which represents a 1.7 percent increase from last year. Nonetheless, some say they'll cut back on how far they will travel.
Experts say gas prices aren't likely to fall in the near future.
