Three figure skaters from New Jersey are competing on the national stage at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Isabo Levito, a 15-year-old from Mount Holly, is in first place. She is the reigning junior world champion and the favorite to win the competition.

Thursday night was the first of the four-day event. Lindsay Thorngren from Montclair is in sixth place and Ava Ziegler from Dover is in eighth.

All three girls will perform again in the free skate competition Friday night.
