A Father's Day tradition continued Sunday as dozens of fathers trekked to Belvidere for an annual pig roast in the damp, but rain-free weather.
Matty Matarazzo, the owner of Four Sisters Winery, held the event for the 22nd year and still enjoys seeing everyone come out.
"Because it's a pig roast, it's not something they get every day, and they come out to enjoy with their families," Matarazzo says.
While most of the fathers had a relaxing day and slept in, Matarazzo woke up at 4 a.m. to prepare the meal.
"It's nice to see all the fathers coming out and getting a great meal," he says. "My turn will be tomorrow. My wife and I will go out and have a nice meal."
