The Westminster Presbyterian Church in Middletown is holding a donation drive for victims of Hurricane Florence.
Last year, the church filled a 54-foot trailer with supplies for victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Organizers say that they hope to do the same for Hurricane Florence victims over the next two weeks.
Rev. Joseph Hein says that he plans to head down with the items, which will be delivered to a church in Wilmington, North Carolina.
“I think a personal presence there on part of the church…to assure them they are not alone and we are there to support them every way we can: spiritually , financially, materially,” Hein says.
Church members are looking for cleaning supplies, water, toiletries and personal items to be donated.
The church is located at 94 Tindall Road. Donations will be collected until at least Oct. 8. More information can be found on the church's website.
