A state appeals court says that three Monmouth County school boards that passed policies impacting transgender students are still barred from enacting those new rules.
As News 12 New Jersey previously reported, the Middletown, Manalapan-Englishtown and Marlboro school districts want to amend policies to require staff to notify parents when students want to change their gender identity at school.
The Appellate Division’s decision agreed with the Monmouth County Superior Court’s ruling.
The Appellate Court disagreed with the lower court's decision to also block the school districts from passing alternative policies.
