The Newark Police Department is searching for suspects in a shooting that left a 2-year-old girl, a man and a woman injured.
The shooting took place on Cabinet Street Thursday evening. Police initially said that the child was 4 years old, but have since corrected that statement.
Police released body camera footage that shows officers taking the little girl in a police cruiser to the hospital.
The victims are expected to recover.
Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said in a statement, “By the grace of God [the child] is still with us because our Newark police officers rushed the child to the hospital and helped save her life.”
