A man was caught on camera Friday following a woman before punching and kicking her to the ground in Newark, according to officials.

They say it happened at 4:45 a.m. in the 100 block of South Street near McCarter Highway.

Police are searching for the suspect who they say is wanted for aggravated assault. The man was captured on surveillance video wearing dark-colored clothing, gloves and a ski mask.
