Study: Newark Liberty Int’l Airport ranked No. 2 for most delayed departures for Labor Day weekend

A new study from Price4Limo finds Newark Liberty International Airport usually has the second most delays flying out during Labor Day weekend.
Hawaiian, Delta and Alaska airlines are the best to fly with the lowest percentage of departure delays, according to the study. And the worst offenders? JetBlue, Allegiant and Frontier have been ranked at the bottom.

The site collected Labor Day travel data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. And when researching airlines, they factored in average Labor Day weekend data from 2017 through 2022. When researching airports, the site examined the 50 most-traveled airports during Labor Day weekend from 2019 through 2022.
Other takeaways from the study rank Spirit Airlines as having the highest average cancellation rate during Labor Day weekend. Hawaiian Airlines had the lowest.
