2ds agoAn Essex County high school jazz band has been recognized as one of the nation’s best.
Newark Academy’s jazz band is now one of 15 finalists for the Essentially Ellington Competition. It is the seventh time the band has been selected.
The band will perform in the competition at Lincoln Center in Manhattan this May.
