Kids in New Brunswick now have a new place to play soccer.
Kossuth Park now features a special Futsal field, which is a smaller turf surface designed for use in urban communities to make it easier for kids who live in them to play the game.
It's part of an effort by RWJ Barnabas and the Players Development Academy to get more of these fields built across New jersey.
"The values just from a mental health standpoint and physical well-being is important for every community. We see that, but we also see value in the soccer. We see now that these kids can play," said Gerry McKeown, of the Players Development Academy.
There will be more of these fields announced for other New Jersey cities in the months ahead.
