New Milford man accused of exposing himself to child online
A 28-year-old New Milford man was accused of producing and possessing child sexual abuse material following a months-long investigation, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Markos C. Alpar was arrested Feb. 20 after members of the prosecutor's Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at his residence.
Investigators say Alpar used the internet to view, download and possess sexually explicit images of minors and engaged in online sexual communication with a juvenile between December 2024 and January 2025.
Authorities said the suspect exposed himself to the minor while communicating online and "instructed the juvenile to produce and send him sexual photos and/or videos of the child’s intimate parts."
Alpar is charged with the production of child sexual abuse material, possession of child sexual abuse material, obscenity to a minor, impairing or debauching the morals of a child and lewdness.
He is being held in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court.
