New Latin-American restaurant opens in Jersey City in the COVID-19 era

A new Latin-American restaurant has opened in Jersey City in an era when many are closing due to COVID-19.
Alex Sazon Restaurant offers an affordable taste of the Dominican Republic.
“The people love my food. They keep coming again and again,” says owner Alixandris Martinez.
The restaurant features entrees like rice and beans and oxtail.
The COVID-compliant business is only one month old, but Martinez says that it is an effort years in the making.
“This is my dream. My first goal. It takes like 10 years to have it,” Martinez says.
The restaurant is open for carryout and limited indoor dining per state guidelines.
