New Jersey will see thunderstorms and potentially flooding Thursday evening.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the storms have the potential for heavy rain amounts, which could cause localized flooding.

Flash flood watches and advisories are in place for a majority of the state due to the potential amount of rain.

New Jersey has been dealing with dangerous weather over the past few days, with at least six tornado warnings around the state since Tuesday. The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Sussex County Tuesday evening.

The bad weather is expected to clear out by Friday. Friday should see mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low-80s.

Saturday should start off sunny, but clouds and rain are expected to return by Sunday.
