A New Jersey musician is going to pay tribute to some of the state’s legends of music during a Facebook Live concert on Wednesday.
Singer-songwriter Jeff Kazee is a longtime band member of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. He has also toured with Bon Jovi. But these days he is self-isolating at home and performs concerns on Facebook Live every Wednesday at 8 p.m.
“I have a need to perform, you know? That’s probably what I do best,” Kazee says.
This Wednesday Kazee will devote his show to four New Jersey legends – Frank Sinatra, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny. He says that he sees similarities in the artists.
“There is a thread in there – in their attitude,” he says.

Unable to tour due to the pandemic, Kazee says that the intimate at-home shows have become a way to express his love for music while also touching people at a time when they may need it the most.
“I just want them to feel, have a feeling, to drop their guard down for an hour or 20 minutes or however long they want to watch,” Kazee says.
