Most people know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. What they may not know is that this year, for the first time, the third week of October is also Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week in New Jersey.

The Male Breast Cancer Coalition says there hasn't been enough of a resource for men who have been diagnosed with the illness.

"Breast cancer does not discriminate," says breast cancer survivor Mark Futterweit. "Men have breasts too, and people have to realize that."

Survivor Philip Schiffman says that all men should have their doctors look for breast cancer when they go for their yearly physicals.

"Make sure [men] can self-examine," Schiffman adds. "Obviously I never did before and now I know I have to."

The coalition says it would eventually like to see the pink breast cancer awareness ribbon to feature a splash of blue in it too.
