New Jersey man arrested in fatal hit-and-run in Croton

Croton police have made an arrest in connection to a fatal hit-and-run.
Village police reported finding a male lying on Route 9 North, south of the Croton Point Avenue exit, around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Despite being rushed to Westchester Medical Center, the individual, identified as Franklin Saquicela Siqua, 24, of Peekskill, was pronounced dead.
Investigators discovered fragments of the unidentified vehicle at the scene.
Edisson Quichimbo-Guayara, 20, from Newark, was apprehended in connection with the incident. Quichimbo-Guayara has been arraigned and remanded to the county jail pending further legal proceedings.
