The president of a longshoreman union in New Jersey was arrested Friday for allegedly accepting $150,000 worth of bribes from a company that employed union employees.

Federal prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York allege that Glenn Blicht, 57, demanded and received cash payments from the unnamed employer and in return, he did not file arbitration claims on behalf of his union members.

Blicht leads the International Longshoreman's Association Local 1964 in Ridgefield Park and is from Wilton, Conn. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
