Freezing temperatures turned rain into ice Tuesday night, making a mess of roads.
An ice storm warning has been place in effect for Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Sussex and Warren counties. A winter weather advisory is in effect for Bergen, eastern Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Salem, Union and western Monmouth counties.
Motorists are advised to use caution.
