A Mega Millions winning ticket with a jackpot of $124 million was sold at Brenda’s Inc in Bayonne, and the convenience store will be receiving a bonus check this afternoon for selling the winning ticket.
The lucky numbers were: 8, 33, 39, 54, 58 and the Mega Ball was 17. The winner can either get their winnings in payments, or if they take the cash option – around $100 million.
It’s the second Mega Millions jackpot won in New Jersey this year.
The identity of the winner is unknown at this point, and lottery winners are able to stay anonymous in New Jersey if they choose.
