A study conducted by American Institutes for Research says that many college graduates may not be prepared for the real world.
The report says that half of college seniors could not understand the difference in opposing newspaper editorials and that 30 percent could only do basic math. The group that performed the study says the results should be a wake up call to colleges and universities that they are not doing an adequate job of preparing students.
The study also found that nearly all college students tested higher at literacy than the average rate for all Americans.
