Officials say getting kids outside and having fun is their goal, but they need to be safe.
New Canaan Police School Resource Officer Matthew Blank says, “There are new laws. They just passed in October, so I always recommend that everyone review them. Make sure they are on the right thing and they are wearing the right safety equipment.”
Student Jack‑Oliver Jamin even built his own e‑bike safety website after realizing he wasn’t riding as safely as he thought. He says seeing friends make the same mistakes pushed him to help others stay safe.
