New Brunswick water main break repaired; street reopens
A water main break in New Brunswick that closed a portion of George Street was repaired early Tuesday morning, police said.
The 16-inch water main broke overnight Monday on George Street. George Street was closed between New and Albany streets during repairs. New Brunswick police said the road was fully reopened just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Many of the businesses in the area were forced to close due to the water issues, but no boil water advisory was ever issued.
New Brunswick police said water service has been restored to everyone affected by the water main break.
