A Girl Scout troop from Monmouth County is giving back to the medical community.
The Neptune troop says that they had lots of boxes of cookies that they couldn’t sell, so they are asking people to donate the price of the boxes and the group will then give the cookies to the medical workers and first responders as a way of saying thanks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hopefully this will help make a difference, make them smile because everyone loves a box of cookies,” says mother Mary Kate Lane. “We’re hoping that in doing this we can really give the girls something to smile about too because it makes them feel good as well.”
