Several schools across New Jersey closed early Friday due to hot and humid conditions across the state.
Trenton schools closed early because of the heat. Students in New Brunswick's three elementary schools went home early because their schools do not have air conditioning, and schools in Keyport also closed early due to the heat.
A heat advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Friday for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Justin Godynick says the heat and humidity is expected to continue into Saturday.
