One hundred soldiers from New
Jersey's National Guard are preparing to go to Washington, D.C.
The soldiers will help police
keep traffic moving there as a group of
truckers try to shut down the Capital
Beltway later this week.
The truckers are protesting
federal COVID-19 rules, such as mask and vaccine mandates.
The protest is
similar to the blockade in Canada, which caused economic disruptions.
New Jersey guard members will
arrive in D.C. on Saturday and leave March 7.
It's unclear how long the
protests could last.
