The mysterious red lights seen over Morris County recently were spotted for the third time Tuesday.
The lights were spotted over Parsippany and Morris Plains at around 8:45 p.m. Police say the sightings led to frantic 911 calls.
The attention paid to the lights has sparked the interest of a Michigan man who says they could be a product he sells called Sky Lanterns. Sky Lanterns are wax and paper balloons used to float flares through the air. That answer seems too easy to Ray Vargas, a Morris Plains man who spotted the lights with his son.
?If it's a hoax, it's a real good hoax,? says Ray Vargas. ?There were no flares, no streaks ? they were almost as if they were communicating with each other."
