Gov. Phil Murphy announced that the second New Jersey resident died from coronavirus.
He says the patient was a female in her 50s who was being treated at CentraState Medical Center in Monmouth County.
Murphy also announced 19 new positive cases of coronavirus, which brings the total to 69 statewide.
Murphy made the announcement during a phone media briefing Saturday. He says seven of the new patients are from Bergen County, seven are from Middlesex County, two are from Essex County, two are from Hudson County and one is from Monmouth County
Of the new patients, officials say 13 are women and six are men. They say their ages range from 18 to 80.

Officials also confirmed a person under investigation in relation to the coronavirus has died in Monmouth County, however test results have not yet come back.
Nine New Jersey residents who were on the Grand Princess cruise ship are set to fly into Newark airport and to be screened by the CDC upon arrival.
The Department of Corrections is suspending visitors for the next 30 days with the exception of legal visits.
State officials continue to urge cancellations of public gatherings of more than 250 people. Murphy encouraged social distancing.
