A mural paying tribute to Alexander Hamilton was unveiled Friday in Paterson.
The mural was painted at the historic Hinchliffe Stadium. Hamilton helped make Paterson the first planned industrial city in the United States.
“The city owes its birth to Alexander Hamilton. That’s why we are celebrating his birthday,” says Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh. “But we are going to experience a rebirth here, a renaissance, here. And I believe that the heart of our renaissance will be the arts.”
Local artists created the mural through the Halls that Inspire program.
