The police officers will be doing it two days each week until further notice, thanks to a partnership with the ShopRite store on Route 18.

"Right now, it's every Friday and Monday between the hours of 10 and four,” says Sgt. Thomas Cassidy. “We're asking everybody to please don't call outside of those days and hours to place your order. You have to call specifically on those days and those hours. Place your order and will get it right to you."

Stop & Shop of East Brunswick is also helping out seniors in the town. The supermarket is offering early morning senior only shopping hours, similar to Jersey City and other towns.
If you would like to make a donation to support the program, call the East Brunswick Police Department at (732)-390-6900 or go to their website.
If you would like to order groceries, call (732)-257-7575 x3901 and ask for Jean Bartels.
