A Mount Laurel man was sentenced to eight years in state prison for harassing his neighbors and using racial slurs.

Edward Mathews pleaded guilty in October to bias intimidation and drug possession charges. It was related to a 2021 incident caught on viral video.

Police say they were called to Mathew’s home on multiple occasions due to his behavior. They say he even left a threatening note on one of his neighbor’s cars.
