A summery stretch of weather returns to New Jersey this week. Slightly humid conditions could make it feel like 90 degrees or higher in spots.
There is also a chance for some pop-up storms during the evening hours. Wednesday night would just be instability storms that will be widely scattered. Thunder and lightning would accompany some of the stronger storms, but it's highly doubtful that these storms would become severe. Thursday night into Friday could have more of an impact to them with cooler (more seasonable air) behind the front.
TONIGHT: Mainly clear with patchy fog. Low temps around 60.
TUESDAY: Mainly sunny and very warm. Low to mid-80s west of the Garden State Parkway. Closer to the coast, temps will be cooler in the low-70s.
WEDNESDAY: Even warmer. Mid- to upper-80s, possibly feeling closer to 90. A late-day pop-up storm is possible.
THURSDAY: Early sunshine and extremely warm temperatures ahead of a weather system. Highs in the upper-80s. When this weather system slides through, expect a line of storms on Thursday evening. Temps will drop 10-15 degrees for Friday.
MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: Partly sunny skies in spots. Temps in the mid-70s. The question is whether or not we see rain. The guidance is pointing to some light showers at the shore on Saturday and then again on Monday. Plenty of time to see how the pattern evolves.
