A dramatic rescue mission unfolded in Belmar on Monday when the Monmouth County SPCA received a call about a seagull stuck in a tree.
Crews arrived at the scene to find the seagull tangled in fishing wire on a branch. Rescue teams carefully climbed the tree to reach the bird and safely unhooked it from the wire.
The seagull was taken to the SPCA center, where it is resting and expected to make a full recovery.
