Monmouth County officials have announced that COVID-19 vaccine appointments scheduled for Feb. 19 and Feb. 20 are canceled due to continued delay of vaccine deliveries.
The county had already canceled appointments that were scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Vaccine deliveries have been delayed for days because of bad weather across the country.
“The county still has not gotten notification that the vaccines have even shipped yet and so we have no choice but to cancel,” Monmouth County Commissioner Director Thomas Arnone said in a statement.
Officials say that everyone who had appointments will be contacted next week to have those appointments rescheduled.
