An officer at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution has pleaded guilty to smuggling drugs to inmates at his workplace.

Bryant Mack, of Shamong, will have to forfeit his job and can't hold public office again in the state.

The 18-year veteran apparently used potato chip bags to smuggle narcotics and other illicit materials into the jail. An inmate inside would then distribute the contraband.
