Areas from Ortley Park to Wildwood are preparing for the possibility that this week's coastal storm could do some serious damage.

Severe erosion has become a major issue, leaving beachside cliffs in the sand some 10' high.

Officials are confident there's enough protection to handle this storm, especially considering the favorable conditions since a storm back in October.

It will still be a few months before the federal government returns to problem spots to pump and dredge more sand to build back the dunes lost in the 3 years since the last major replenishment.
