A Milford man was arrested and charged with larceny after allegedly scamming clients out of thousands of dollars for construction projects, according to police.

Leonard Addario, 46, is facing three counts of larceny in the first degree.

Police say one victim hired Addario and paid him $68,000 in May 2022. By October 2023, the construction still wasn't done. They terminated the contract but never received their deposit back. That’s when they contacted the police.

Police say Addario also took deposits for two other projects – totalling $204,000.

He turned himself in on Monday.

Police also say Addario was released on a $150,000 bond and is set to appear in Milford Superior Court on April 2.
