Rain showers stick around overnight into Thursday in Brooklyn

Temps are expected to warm up late in the week.

Rain has started in our borough and will continue through the evening and overnight into Thursday. They will be mainly light showers - but anticipate some pockets of more moderate rainfall. This will taper off midday for Thursday, but conditions remain cloudy and damp.
Another few rounds of showers and the potential for thunderstorms are in the forecast for Friday and Saturday.
Sunday will be the better day of this weekend with more sunshine, drier conditions and pleasant temperatures. Temperatures will mostly remain in the low -to mid-70s through the weekend.
There is the potential for strong and dangerous rip currents to develop at Atlantic-facing beaches on Thursday.
OVERNIGHT: Damp and dreary. Temperatures in the mid- to high-50s.
THURSDAY: Rainy start tapers off mid-morning. The second half of the day is mostly cloudy with some peeks of sun. Highs in the low-70s, lows in the low-60s.
FRIDAY: Rain and storm chances. Highs in the mid-70s, lows in the low-60s. A touch more humid.
SATURDAY: Afternoon/evening storm and rain chances. Highs in the low-70s, lows in the mid- to high-50s.
SUNDAY: Better of the two weekend days! Early a.m. rain clears out then better. Dry, breezy, mix of clouds and sun. Highs in the low-70s, lows in the high-50s.
NEXT WEEK: A warmup! Plan for the mid- to high-70s and even low-80s throughout the workweek.
