An eye-opening sign in Middletown is warning drivers to slow down.
The sign is on Duchess Avenue, which residents say is blocked from Route 36 and can become busy as drivers cut through to beat the traffic.
Kevin Jackman, of Middletown, put up the sign, which reads, "My dog was struck last week because you wont [sic] slow down. If you hit a kid, your family will be burying you."
Jackman says a similar message he saw on Facebook gave him the idea to make the sign.
