5h agoFamily, friends and University of Georgia teammates came together in Athens, Georgia Sunday for a memorial service for the college football player from New Milford who died in a car crash.
The memorial service celebrated the life of the 21-year-old Devin Willock.
Willock was killed in a car crash last Sunday just hours after celebrating the football team's back-to-back championships.
His mother, Sharlene Willock, recalled the last moments she had with her son.
"After the parade, we went to the Texas Roadhouse, we had dinner as a family we parted after that. Next thing I knew, it was 3 in the morning and it was one of his coaches calling saying, there was an accident and Devin didn't make it," she recounted.
Willock's public service is set for Friday in Englewood at the Community Baptist Church.
