Several cast members of the HBO hit series “The Sopranos” are appearing together on stage in the state where the iconic drama was set.
Michael Imperioli, Vincent Pastore and Steve Schirripa will participate in a moderated stage conversation and audience Q&A at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank.
Imperioli earned an Emmy Award for playing Christopher Moltisanti on the show. He portrayed the troubled nephew of lead character Tony Soprano.
"We tell a lot of stories that are behind the scenes that are important and that are like milestones," Imperioli says.
Imperioli says that the series means a lot to the people of New Jersey. He says that it was more than just a television show.
“It represents a certain part of their life, especially the people who are more my age who watched it when it was on the air. When it was every Sunday on HBO, they remember getting together with family and friends, making pasta, ordering pizzas, sitting down waiting for 9 p.m. when ‘The Sopranos’ was on,” Imperioli says.
The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10.
Imperioli is currently appearing in the Hulu series "The Fool" and will star in the upcoming season of “The White Lotus” on HBO.
