A Bergen County DPW worker has been killed on the job in Saddle River.
The incident happened Thursday evening on East Allendale Road.
According to Mayor Albert Kurpi, the county employee was cutting down a tree when it fell on top of him.
Other workers on the scene were able to lift the tree, but it was too late.
The worker has not been identified.
