Police are searching for a man they say performed a lewd act toward a teenage girl at a bus stop in Morris Heights.
Authorities say the man approached the 16-year-old girl from behind on Dec. 30 around 7 p.m. She was waiting for the Bx3 bus in front of 1522 University Ave.
The man began to perform a lewd act before running from the scene, traveling northbound on University Avenue. He was last seen wearing all black, according to authorities.
The teen was not injured, and police did not provide details about what the lewd act entailed.
Police urge anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
