A Mercer County man faces life in prison following a murder conviction.
A jury found Matthew Tanner, 40, guilty of fatally shooting Daquan Basnight more than a dozen times in the early morning hours of Aug. 21, 2021.
The event happened at a Trenton event known as “Sha-Day,” an annual party in memory of a Trenton resident who was killed in 2013.
Prosecutors say Tanner ambushed Basnight from behind.
Tanner is expected to be sentenced on June 27.
