Authorities say they're investigating a homicide that left a man dead near the Somerset Park Complex in Franklin Township Monday morning.
Franklin Township police and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office say they are investigating the death.
Witnesses heard the shots ring out around 11 a.m. on Labor Day. They say the victim was able to get into a car and drive away -- but not very far.
The victim apparently crashed through a fence and into a building on Route 27, just a few blocks away.
It's unclear what caused the death or if any suspects have been identified.
Foday Mansaray identified himself as the victim's uncle. He tells News 12 New Jersey the victim lived in the complex and was in his 20s.
