A man once considered to be a person of interest in the killing of a mother and daughter in Roselle has been formally charged with murder.
Everoy Morrison, 44, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and a number of weapons counts in the killing of 45-year-old Keisha Morrison and her 9-year-old daughter Kelsey Morrison. Authorities also charged Everoy Morrison with theft of a motor vehicle, for allegedly stealing a car from the home after the killings.
Roselle police were called to a home on the 200 block of West Seventh Avenue on April 18 for reports of two missing people. Officials say that officers found the bodies when they searched the home.
Law enforcement authorities were able to track the vehicle that Everoy Morrison allegedly stole to the Baltimore area. He was arrested there and taken into custody.
Officials say that Everoy Morrison is the brother-in-law and uncle of the victims. He had reportedly been living in the basement of the home at the time of the killings.
